Up for auction in the auction house “literary Fund” exhibited rare editions of XVIII-XIX centuries, autographs and manuscripts, including a note by Anton Chekhov, which was addressed to Apollo Maikova poet and the poem “To a friend the poet” is the literary debut of Alexander Pushkin.
As have informed in a press-service of the auction house in total in the upcoming auction will feature approximately 400 lots. One of the top lots will be a note by Anton Chekhov, which experts estimated at 2.4 million rubles. Also top lot little Russian classics will be the book “Haydamaky” by Taras Shevchenko, published in 1841, this instance has not appeared at auction for many years.
The auction can be purchased, destroyed the book “Vadim of Novgorod” author Yakov Knyazhnin. This edition has almost repeated the fate of the book “Journey from St. Petersburg to Moscow”, the circulation of which was confiscated and publicly burned, after ten days after the release.
Among the interesting lots included a rare book, “a Study on skupchenko heresy” by Nikolai Nadezhdin, published her secret in 1845, edition of 25 copies. Rarities of Russian avant-garde books and the Silver age presents an impressive collection, including the first books of Anna Akhmatova “Evening”, by Osip Mandelstam’s “Stone,” Vladimir Mayakovsky “I”, where he left his autograph designer Lev Shekhtel.
Also for sale are exhibited such rare books as “Romantic flowers” by Nikolai Gumilev, “the Blue rider” Kandinsky, “a Living alphabet” Sasha Cherny, “To voice” by Vladimir Mayakovsky, “Poems brawler” Sergey Yesenin and other publications.
