Twitter CEO Says #MeToo’s ‘Cultural Moment’ Is ‘An Important Thing’
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has said that #MeToast is “an important thing” and said that the company’s goal is to be “an open platform for sharing and learning”.
The tweets come as Twitter struggles with backlash after it was revealed that the former CEO of the dating app Tinder was also using a company account to connect with the users.
The company said that it was “disappointed” that Mr Dorsey had used his own Tinder account to conduct business, and that it “will be taking steps to address the matter”.
Twitter has also been embroiled in controversy after it admitted that it had been sharing information from users of its service.
The US media giant has faced a series of backlash over the issue, with many saying it was failing to meet its own guidelines for data protection and privacy.
